Tonkichi - Causeway Bay

My sister took me to causeway bay to have a look around and do some shopping at forever 21. We got to the store in the afternoon and didn't leave til 3 hrs later. The store was huge! It was 6 floors of clothes (ladies and a small kids section), shoes, accessories, lingerie and we even skipped one of the floors.

There were some nice clothes and it is definitely one of those stores that you have to go through a few times because you miss stuff the first time. It was very busy, I'd hate to go there on a weekend, you'd probably spend ages in line waiting for the change room and then waiting to pay.

Since we spent such a long time at the store it was a little too late to go home for dinner. My sister took me to a nice tonkatsu place called Tonkichi. My nephew loves the tonkatsu from this place and kept asking for it the next day as well.

We ordered the tonkatsu set for three and it was massive!

The set included pork, a pork medallion, prawns and oysters fried to crispy golden goodness. Salad, miso soup, rice, sesame seeds that you can crush and add bulldog sauce to and an assortment of other accompaniments.

The tartar sauce to go with the oysters tasted just like the fillet o fish sauce from McDonald's.

When the dishes came out we didn't think we could finish it but we managed to finish all of it. My niece ate almost a whole bowl of rice! ( she only 1 yrs old) and my nephew ( 3 y.o.) ate a portion probably only slightly smaller then each of us.

It was delicious!
